Open for inspections and auctions lifted

The real estate industry received much welcomed news yesterday after the state government announced the ban on public open homes and on-site auctions would be lifted from next weekend.

Since the restrictions were put in place on 25 March, Highland Property Group have found new and innovative ways of providing solutions for their clients, but they are certainly glad traditional methods of inspecting, buying and renting a property will resume from next weekend. Of course, safety guidelines will be enforced to ensure public safety.

Despite the challenges during the restrictions, Highland Property Group have enjoyed strong results, with over 171 sales transactions and 226 leased properties since February 2020.

“My view is in a few months, right now could be considered the most affordable time in the market. The local market is resilient and has a fair amount of depth in terms of wealth. With an incredibly low interest rate environment and low stock levels, this provides a unique opportunity to consider your property options.” David Highland.

This decision to lift the restrictions on open for inspections and onsite auctions is a positive sign that things are starting to get back to normal and we believe optimism in the market will quickly gain momentum. Buyers will see things more confidently and those vendors that have been waiting, we believe this decision will encourage them to get back into the market.
