Engadine

Engadine’s housing ranges from compact bungalows to large family homes, mostly constructed from 1960 and throughout the 1990’s. The Royal National Park provides residents of Engadine with unsurpassed access to a range of recreational opportunities, including walking, running, cycling, hiking, abseiling, rock climbing, horse riding and ocean swimming.

For a suburb so close to pristine bushland, Engadine also has a surprisingly large range of dining options. Cafés and restaurants offering take-away service are conveniently located in the shopping area near the station and in Engadine Central. Asian cuisine is well represented with a number of Chinese restaurants, and Thai, Indonesian and Japanese food is also on offer. Engadine provides locals with a village shopping experience.

The small commercial area around Engadine Station includes a post office, newsagent, chemist, grocery stores, video stores, supermarkets, butchers and bakeries. A larger shopping centre, Engadine Central, houses supermarkets, grocery stores and a number of specialty shops.
